As part of this workshop, we'll quite literally open our own toy boxes. Not to recommend brands or convince you to buy anything, but to share the honest stories behind the different kinds of toys we've welcomed into our lives, what they brought us, what surprised us, and what we wish we'd known years earlier.
Because sex toys can be about so much more than pleasure. They can help us get to know our bodies, rediscover sensation while experiencing pain or numbness, navigate hormonal changes, explore new flavours of orgasm, bring more confidence and playfulness into partnered sex, or simply add a little curiosity to a body that has started to feel a bit... predictable.
Of course, they also raise a lot of questions.
Can vibrators make you numb? Do toys replace partners? Is stronger better? Are expensive toys actually different? What makes one material wonderfully body-safe while another belongs firmly in the "no thanks" category? And with what feels like seventeen billion products on the market, how on earth do you know where to begin?
In this playful, science-informed and myth-busting workshop, we'll separate evidence from marketing, anatomy from advertising, and genuine possibilities from clever packaging. Rather than asking, "Which toy should I get?", we'll ask a much more interesting question:
What kind of experience would you like to create?
Together we'll explore how different categories of pleasure tools are designed, the experiences they're best suited for, and how understanding your anatomy and your goals makes choosing one infinitely easie r— whether you're wanting to treat yourself, explore with a partner, or simply satisfy your curiosity.
On the program:
- The biggest myths about vibrators, suction toys and other pleasure products — finally separated from the facts;
- Why there are so many different sex toys — and what they're actually designed to do;
- Simple ways to bring sex toys into partnered intimacy without awkwardness, pressure or competition;
- The surprising truth about intensity, technique and why more stimulation isn't always better;
- How to choose body-safe materials, compatible lubricants and products that are made to last;
- Why the "best" toy doesn't exist — and what actually makes a toy the right fit for you;
- The psychology of buying toys — and why so many end up becoming expensive drawer decorations;
- A tour through some of the most surprising, ingenious and delightfully unexpected pleasure products you've probably never heard of.
- How exactly sex toys go beyond the buzz of orgasm by supporting variety, confidence, accessibility and deeper connection.
And much more!
